Will St Peters Premier 370 development project hold water?
That’s the 46 million dollar question!
We are referring, of course, to the approximately 46 million dollars that many believe it would cost the taxpayers of St Peters if the project fails. There’s a good test coming down the river right now and, in this case, it didn’t take 500 years or even a 100 years for nature to challenge poor judgment by politicians!
Nobody, including RiteOn, is wishing for bad things to happen. Sometimes, though, good political leadership and good planning can go a long way toward keeping bad luck at bay. Those politicians and their developer friends, past and present, were warned but they insisted that the City proceed with this ill-advised project. They are undoubtedly praying that the water stays away and we join them in that prayer. We wish them no ill will but the current circumstances serve as yet another warning against spending millions of dollars promoting an ill conceived plan to defeat Mother Nature!
