Chuck MacNab began publishing a blog (http://riteon.org) in 2004, presenting opinions gathered from close-up observations and unique experiences gained from traveling around the world for more than 50 years. For instance, Chuck was in East Germany a week before the Berlin Wall went up and was able talk extensively with Russian and German soldiers before entering West Berlin.

As a pilot for the King of Saudi Arabia, he observed the monarch and conversed with many individuals who counseled him, even, at times, those who counseled him while he held court in the desert. He provided transportation to many of the King's ministers and others to and from his court and to many locations in the Middle East, some very inaccessible and remote.

Chuck started his aviation and travel experiences as a Naval Aviator and carrier pilot who flew combat missions from the deck of the U.S.S. Princeton. He instructed Naval Aviator candidates in the U.S. Navy's advanced single engine tactics school. He is a retired international airline captain who flew for 35 years as a pilot over most of TWA's domestic and world-wide routes. He flew the final TWA flight from India and closed out TWA’s presence there while based in Cairo, Egypt. In the course of providing transportation to a variety of people Chuck has had the opportunity to have many interesting and informative conversations with world leaders. As a result of these experiences, he has developed an experienced and unique perspective on political matters and reflects this quality in his blog commentaries.
